CMS & ED

The Diploma in Community Medical Services & Essential Drugs (CMS & ED) is designed to empower learners to deliver primary healthcare and essential medication services—especially in rural, semi-urban and underserved settings. Through this programme at Vihaan Education Society, students gain a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and community health. They learn to provide basic medical care, manage common illnesses, apply first-aid, and responsibly administer WHO-approved essential drugs under supervision.

Graduates of CMS & ED become valuable members of the primary-care ecosystem—they are equipped to assist in mobile health units, operate first-aid centres, support PHC teams and serve as frontline health workers. With the healthcare focus shifting toward access and community outreach, this diploma opens meaningful pathways in healthcare support, emergency response and public health services.
