B.Voc/B.Sc. - Operation Theatre Technology [OTT]
The B.Voc / B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) is a specialized undergraduate program designed to prepare students for critical roles inside surgical units, operation theatres, emergency care, and intensive care environments. Operation Theatre Technologists are essential members of the surgical team, assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff while ensuring patient safety and sterile conditions throughout surgical procedures.
This programme provides comprehensive learning on surgical procedures, operation theatre protocols, anesthesia support, sterilization techniques, biomedical equipment handling, patient monitoring, and infection control. Students receive hands-on clinical training to confidently manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative responsibilities.
Graduates of this program are equipped to work in multispecialty hospitals, surgical centers, trauma units, IVF centers, orthopedic, cardiology, neurology, and minimally invasive surgery departments, making it a gateway to an impactful and in-demand healthcare career.

- Sterilization, Autoclaving & Aseptic Techniques
- OT Layout, Zoning, Equipment Management & Instrument Calibration
- Practical Training: Scrubbing, Gowning, Gloving, Surgical Draping
Module 3: Advanced OT Practice & Emergency Care
- Assistance in General & Specialized Surgeries (ENT, Ortho, Gynae, Neuro, Cardio)
- Emergency & Trauma OT Procedures, Critical-Care Support
- Endoscopic, Laparoscopic & Minimally Invasive Surgery Support
- Operation Theatre Electronic & Biomedical Equipment Handling
- Internship I: Clinical Practice in Hospital OT Units
Module 4: Clinical Leadership, Research & Capstone
- Operation Theatre Administration, Inventory & Staff Coordination
- NABH/JCI Safety Standards, Quality Assurance & Accreditation
- Biomedical Maintenance & Sterilization Unit Management
- Research Methods, Case Documentation & Surgical Reporting
- Final Internship / Capstone Project: Surgical Case Assistance & Evaluation
- Successfully passed 10 + 2 (Any Strem for B.Voc or Science for B.Sc.) or equivalent from a recognised board.
- Minimum qualifying marks as per institutional guidelines
- Must be medically fit to perform clinical & OT responsibilities
